The brutality of older
theatrical cartoons is also regularly censored by television
networks and syndicators. In Warners' Duck, Rabbit, Duck
(1953), for example, Elmer Fudd blasts Daffy Duck's bill
in a variety of manners (Fig. 11.27). When it is broadcast
today, most of those explosions are cut out.
